Nice

I'd like to hear some lyrics on this. Maybe try the audioforum to ask people if they're into it. I'm not a fan of some of the highpitched tones, but that's just my opinion. Great work, mate.

Vocals

I'm really not feeling the vocals, I recommend to either practice a bit more on them or find another singer. If you really do like singing and really want to be the leadvocalist of the band, I recommend you just take your guitar, play any note and hum together with it. Also, the falsetto is off, a lot. You can improve that by learning how to sing from the diaphragm. An exercise I used was just to lay down on my bed, and carefully breathing from the stomach.
The instrumentals were good, but if you would turn down the chorus on the guitar, it would sound a lot better.
Other than that, good job, mate.

Sawdust responds:

Thanks a lot! I understand that singing requires a great deal of discipline. Sadly, whenever I come in to record I lose that edge. I'm not much of a singer anyway, on the technical side of things.

Anyway, as for the chorus, I suppose you're right. This is just a demo, anyway, so things like that can be resolved much later on. Thank you for the honest opinion!

Almost there

I really liked the reworked instrumentals, but man, that pitchy tune that you use instead of your vocals, it's just not beautiful, man. Perhaps you should try looking for a singer for this and adding it.
Also, the beat is taking too much away from the instrumentals, try taking down the bass a little (I assume, that's the problem).

Friggin awesome

This is going right to the favorites. I loved how you played with the highpitched tones, when you listen to them superficially they sound like they were placed at random, but listening closely to it, it sounds carefully chosen out.

Unexpected

Hearing the intro of the song, I thought I was gonna hear the 1000th song made with some basic samples found in every kind of audiosoftware. Then the bass and beat came in, and the were unexpectedly superconstructive for your melody.
And in my opinion, there aren't any parts that sound empty, they help to create an atmosphere around this song, which is also quite constructive.
Props, mate

Almost great

I like the beat and the bassline, and the flow for that matter, but I'd like to hear the rap a little bit clearer. I assume the mic wasn't that great, or that you've put an effect on the vocals.
Also, try putting an ambiencereducer on the bass, it's going in overdrive sometimes, which is too bad, because it's a nice bassline.
Other than that, I agree with Khyranos about having a sound resembling to the Beastie Boys, which you can take as a compliment.

Great

I thought: damn, isn't this stolen from something? And then I remembered I had already listened to it on soundcloud. Great work, try promoting it to some flashartists.

acmeDyne responds:

Thank you.

Makes me wanna get drunk at a czechoslovakian squaredance while singing the songs of my people.
